A Football Manager story about Kat Roberts, fourteen women's leagues, and a journey that didn't quite reach the summit.

ARCHIVE STATUS

Currently on hold

The plan was to take Kat Roberts through fourteen women's leagues, from Wales to the WSL. The journey made it to Sweden before the save stopped.

Ain't about how fast I get there.
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side.
It's the climb.

The Story So Far

The original plan was simple enough: start in Wales, work through fourteen women's leagues, and eventually reach the WSL.

Kat completed her first phase with Barry Town United before moving to Sweden. The second phase began with IFK Göteborg.

And then... I stopped playing the save.

So this page is now part story hub, part archive, and part reminder that sometimes even fictional football managers need a break.

What Was The Climb?

The Climb was a Football Manager 2026 save following Kat Roberts as she attempted to work her way through fourteen women's football leagues around the world.

The idea was to move through the leagues in order, taking on new clubs, new countries, new squads and new challenges along the way.

The original plan was much bigger than the save ended up becoming.

Kat completed her first phase in Wales and moved on to Sweden, where the story eventually stopped.

She never reached the WSL.
The save never reached the summit.
But the part that happened is still here.

Original Rules

These were the rules when The Climb began.

  1. Leagues must be completed in order, from the Adran Premier to the WSL.
  2. Move on only once all objectives in that league are achieved.
  3. After completion, wait until a suitable job opens in the next league.
  4. If promoted, step aside and continue the path upward in sequence.
  5. If dismissed, drop down or remain at the same level before continuing.
  6. Failure isn't an ending. It's part of the story.
  7. The Climb ends only when the final summit - the WSL - is conquered.
Current reality:

I didn't make it to the WSL. The rules are still here in case Kat ever gets another chance.

The Climb is currently on hold.

The archive remains, and the mountain isn't going anywhere.
