Countless scenarios can be explored in Football Manager, from taking non-league minnows to the Champions League to in-depth rebuilds of fallen giants. I’ve done them all over the years, but this time around, I wanted to do something different.

This isn’t a save about building a new dynasty or turning an underdog into a new powerhouse. It’s more finding out the answer to a simple question: What happens when you bring together some of the world’s best footballers and put them into the Premier League for a single season?

No rebuilds, no long-term plans, just one season to make an impact.

The Squad

When it came to building a squad of 30 players, I wanted to find the ideal balance between experience and youth. Some of the players chosen have already proved themselves by winning awards and trophies, while others are up-and-coming talents with huge potential.

Every player brings something different to the pitch, and together, they form a squad unlike anything the Premier League has seen before.

Why this Save?

I’ve always loved the unpredictability of Football Manager—the way every decision, every match, and every player interaction changes the story.

It’s not just about winning trophies (though, let’s be honest, that would be nice!). It’s about the journey—the moments of brilliance, the unexpected heroes, the twists and turns that make every save unique.

And there’s another layer to this save, one that’s particularly exciting for me: the players themselves. They aren’t your typical squad, and while I’m not ready to give everything away just yet, let’s just say there’s a reason this team feels so revolutionary.

Fact or Fiction?

Before I go any further, it’s worth me clarifying that, while the people are real, their attributes are a mix of AI, personal opinion, and pure randomness.

It’s not about predicting the future; it’s about imagining a “what if” scenario. And that’s the beauty of Football Manager; it lets you create these stories—stories that feel real, even when they’re not.

What Next?

Here’s what’s coming up in the series:

  • Part 2: Introducing the club and concept.
  • Part 3: Get to know the players and find out what makes this squad so unique.
  • Part 4: Meet the backroom staff and their role in shaping the team.
